This is an exceptional early Wilcox Crittenden Gimbal Lantern. The lamp is in remarkable condition, showing only the very lightest traces of honest shipboard use. The lamp has a mellow burnished surface which the photograph can not convey. The Burner is the proper "English Made",which WC used in their early production. The lamp stands about 9 1/4" tall, including the chimney, and will project about 5 1/2" from the wall or bulkhead. Smoke bell is about 4" across. This is a rare example of a Wilcox Crittenden Gimbal Lamp like we don't expect to see again. Only $295.00 for this unique example of nautical history. FREE shipping in the United States. The face shows 80 years of wear. Probably from people rubbing the face when they set the clock or hit it with the key, which is included. This clock has double size 0 main springs. | This is a beautiful vintage Seth Thomas Paperweight or Salesmen's Sample Clock. I am not a clock expert and the following is from descriptions I have seen: the case is nickel or pewter. (This little clock is heavy weighing 1 pound 4 ounces. The base is 3 inches in diameter the face is 2 inches in diameter and the clock stands about 1 3/4 inches tall). The back, see here, is brass and marked Seth Thomas, Thomaston CT, USA this mark was used until around 1880 What I know is the clock is beautiful, runs great, beveled glass cover is in excellent condition, and the face is paper.
