This is a beautiful classic Seth Thomas
7 inch Ships Clock. This highly collectible vintage clock is in good running condition and has been professionally serviced. The clock repairman told me this clock is from the 1920's. This clock is time only, no bells.
This Seth Thomas Ships Clock has character. The bezel has some dents and has a small dent in the case. The face shows 80 years of wear. Probably from people rubbing the face when they set the clock or hit it with the key, which is included. This clock has double size 0 main springs.

Seth Thomas Paperweight / Salesman's Sample Clock
This is a beautiful vintage Seth Thomas Paperweight or Salesmen's Sample Clock. I am not a clock expert and the following is from descriptions I have seen: the case is nickel or pewter. (This little clock is heavy weighing 1 pound 4 ounces. The base is 3 inches in diameter the face is 2 inches in diameter and the clock stands about 1 3/4 inches tall). The back, see here, is brass and marked Seth Thomas, Thomaston CT, USA this mark was used until around 1880
What I know is the clock is beautiful, runs great, beveled glass cover is in excellent condition, and the face is paper. I have noticed many Seth Thomas clocks are listed with paper dials
